RENEW YOUR SCHOLARSHIP!!

DEADLINE: 2ND WEEK OF JULY ANNUALLY

To be eligible for renewal, you must be planning to attend some type of educational institution in the upcoming school year.

If you missed any portion of this past school year, please contact our office directly so that we can discuss your future as a Maisin Scholar. If you have not been enrolled for an entire year your scholarship may very well be in jeopardy.

How to Renew
When you have concluded your spring semester, please complete each of the following steps:

1) Fill out the renewal form, save and then print it out.

2) Write a 2-3 page essay describing your educational experience over the past year. Please include what subjects you are studying, what you are enjoying about school, any challenges you have overcome, and the areas you can improve in your educational pursuits. (If you have been out of college for more than a year, your essay should consist of why, what your educational and career plans are, and a persuasion page on why your scholarship should be reinstated. Each "special circumstance" request is reviewed on a case by case basis. Your submission of a renewal package does not guarantee reinstatement of your scholarship.)

3) Obtain an OFFICIAL COPY of your transcripts/report card of your current status and grades from your spring semester. The institution, YOUR NAME and Student I.D. Number MUST be visible on transcripts.

5) MAIL (FAXES and E-MAILS are NOT acceptable) 1) Renewal Form, 2) Essay, and 3) Transcripts to: SFSA, Maisin Scholar Award, 114 Sansome Street, Suite 800, San Francisco, CA 94104
